Water weight gain:
If you experience a big jump in
the numbers on your bathroom scales, don't panic. Odds are,
the culprit is sodium. Rethink your eating pattern for the day.
Did you eat salty foods? If so, it may take two or more
days for the sodium to release the water, so be patient, and in
the meantime, avoid salty foods.
Take note, however, that many
times sodium is hidden. Many breakfast cereals contain more sodium
than a serving of potato chips.
Water Requirements:
You should drink 8 cups of water
per day. Note that too much water can be as unhealthy as too
little water, creating an imbalance in your electrolytes. Therefore,
don't drink gallons of water in hopes of flushing your system, or
you might turn the boat completely upside down.
Watering Hunger Pains:
Next time you're hit with the
hungries while dieting, pop some corn and add a bit of no calorie
butter spray to the warm batch.
Popcorn is a natural treat filled
with fiber, which in turn, fills up the tummy for a long period
of time.
If you have a sweet tooth, add
a bit of no calorie sweetener, and sprinkle in a bit of cinnamon.
