Crossing Over The
Weight Loss Plateau
Verifying
Your Weight Loss Plateau
Whenever
the scales appear to pause
for more than three days
at a time during Diet Time,
a Weight Loss Plateau may
not be the cause.
The
following can also cause
weight to remain in limbo:
-
too many calories for the
new, reduced weight
-
incorrectly calculating
daily calorie intake
-
too much sodium in the diet
-
period time
-
pregnancy
Of
course, when pregnancy is
expected then a reduced
calorie diet may be harmful
to both mother and child
without proper supervision
(doctor, doctor).
As
to the calorie intake issues,
as the body shrinks it requires
fewer and fewer calories.
A fairly quick way
to determine if too many
calories are being consumed
is to jot everything down
on the daily menu, then
tally up the calories.
If
the calories appear to be
on target with the diet
plan, and if the dieter
continues to diet using
this calorie allotment and
still does not experience
weight loss, they may be
on a Weight Loss Plateau,
or they may simply eating
too many calories.
If
exercise appears to stimulate
weight loss, that may be
a good indication that daily
calories are too high. Or,
the exercise may have stimulated
the weight loss flow.
Bottom
Line: Weight loss involves
much trial and error, and
much patience.
